Most Important Principle of the Constitution

I personally believe that the most important principle of the constitution is the rights of the individuals. As the government has established, the people hold all power in our democracy and their rights have changed America in very dramatic ways. Also, the rights of individuals has become a huge debate. Gay rights, immigration policies, and in the past, the civil rights movement. Individual rights is a very important part of our government, in my honest opinion.

Osama Bin Laden

This cartoon holds very true to me. I think Obama made killing Osama Bin Laden to much about himself and not enough about soldiers. He did some planning and gave the go ahead but the Navy SEALS actually risked their life. Kudos to Obama for taking the necessary steps to take out Bin Laden and save many lives. However, I believe the real heroes are the soldiers, that is why I disagree with the way Obama handled the repercussions of the attack on Bin Laden.

What Citizenship Means to Me

   The flag of the United States stands for so many things that this country has seen. To me, it is interesting to think of how much the flag meant to the founding fathers and veterans alike. The flag has been a symbol of hope in tough times for America. It has stood through the times of trial and also the times of victory. It has been flying through rebuilding and reconstruction.

   The flag is a very comparable symbol to our citizenship. It is something to be proud of, something that you will always have no matter what. It joins you with other people in the country and gives you a common interest. Citizenship, to me, is very important to me and something I am so fortunate for. I consider myself extremely blessed to live in the United States and have the life I do. That's what being a citizen means to me.
